Interior Design Red Bank, NJ

This project was a single room refresh for a beautiful home on the Navesink River in Red Bank. The room was a large, double height space right at the entrance of the home, featuring a sunk in living area.

We wanted to emphasize the beautiful, tall ceilings and windows, so we added a textured vinyl wall covering to the focal point wall. We also added custom window treatments in a neutral tone with dark hardware to soften the three sets of doors on this large wall.

We worked with the existing modern fireplace in the space and flanked either side with black glossy chests paired with gold tall mirrors. By doing so, we were able to mimic the full height fireplace and play up its scale. For the main living area, we chose a gorgeous, hand knotted area rug in an abstract combination of rich purples, greens and blues. The rug was paired with two super chunky and modern sofas. We paired the sofa with light pink and purple pillows that pulled from the colors in the rug. The space was tied together with an oversized coffee table – two reclaimed elm doors accented with cast iron details. We completed the look with a number of accessories grouped in a grid-like layout.

The wall opposite of the fireplace was outfitted with a custom bookcase complete with a library ladder. We added tons of books and accessories to complete the shelves.
